Principal User Experience Design Lead

Syntax is a financial technology firm specializing in the codification of business models and product-line revenue data.

At Syntax, I work with a brilliant and ambitious Engineering team to build the design systems and visualizations that make our sea of data navigable. My work is focused on the unique challenges of selectively exposing complex data, and building the necessarily modern interfaces that parse and expose the gems hidden in the rough.

While I enjoy all of the parts that make up my day-to-day, my favorite (and often my proudest) work revolves around designing unique, novel, and fun controls that are as entertaining to use as they are illuminating. My role at Syntax allows me to explore every corner of interaction design: Motion and animation are just as important in my work as prototyping and A/B testing.

I do other stuff too! I maintain the front-end and CMS of our marketing website, and assist our stellar Marketing team with the occasional bit of print and email marketing work. I also lead a small (but growing!) design team and maintain Syntax's brand standards across all mediums.
